The Iron Yard Final Project: Bike MD

The Iron Yard Final Project: Bike MD

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The idea of Bike MD came when a friend who was transitioning from motorcycle tech to full stack development realized that the motorcycle tech community could benefit from a website similar to the popular Stack Overflow. He envisioned that someone who may need a little help with a problem they had never seen could have a community of other techs right at his/her fingertips, the web app could work as a database of issues with solutions. To start, we had a few API's that contain all of the bike's make, models, and years, as well as data storage for all questions and comments.

Our timeline was two weeks, we met 3 days in a row to plan and create a roadmap for the successful completion of this project. We established user personas, customer journeys, and listed all of the needs of the project from a UI and Back end stand point.

As a product, we wanted something that was going to be easy and clean to use, but also had a lot of personality. We decided that a short questionnaire prompting the tech with the issue through the make, year, and model of the bike was the easiest and most user friendly approach.
